Grape Kandy

This is one of the newer strains to grace the world of cannabis, and the way it came in a pack with a branded sticker made it obvious a lot of effort has been put in to the crafting of this cut.

The pack came as a 3.5 gram dark green frosty bud with purple tints, looking and smelling amazingly distinctive of sweet berries with hints of cedar wood. The bone dry buds were slightly overdried as they simply crumbled to the touch, also coming with dust at the bottom of the bag because of this.

When smoked I could immediately tell that the flush was rushed and this simple factor made such a difference to the experience, as the lovely tasting grape flavour that left a fuzzy sensation on the tongue was overpowered by a harsh taste to the point where it wasn’t as enjoyable. This was a shame as it would have been a flavourful smooth smoking experience rather than having a harsh taste and feel, with black ash typifying the problem.

The high was was unaffected by the harshness which pleased me and this great strain made it obvious to me why so many rave about it, with its uniquely uplifting and energising buzz which lasted the best part of 2 hours. Super potent and bursting with thc and flavour, the throat tickle was inevitable and stronger than most, slightly added to by the harshness, but mainly attributed to the high strength of this strain.

I hope I can try this strain again, but a perfect example next time, as despite its drawbacks this cut still surprised me with its potency and incredible flavour. This is more of a night time strain because unless you have nothing to do, I would advise against smoking this anytime before 6pm as it will leave you frazzled for the remainder of the day even after the high wears off. Medically it is excellent for stress & anxiety relief, but poor if you require concentration on any complex tasks.
